Just Sitting Here

Hello fellow crafters!  I've been blessed with being a member of the Just for Fun Rubber Stamps Design Team.  JFF has decided to discontinue their Design Team and monthly challenges.  I'll miss all the creativity from my fellow team members.

In May I created a few backgrounds using Stipple Mists as a stamping medium. This set of trees were stamped on photo paper as an experiment and I love how the ink interacted with the paper.

Spread Your Wings

Happy Thursday!  Can you believe it's August already?!

With the hot summer days upon us, I find myself indoors coloring and staying cool.  I recently received this adorable flamingo stamp and just couldn't wait to use it.  Add some lightweight, fun  feathers for a perfect embellishment. Don't forget a catchy sentiment

Just for Fun rubber stamps. Recollections feathers. Club Scrap papers. Chameleon colored pencils. Queen & Co. pearls.

There's still time to join us for our "By the Water" challenge.  You have until August 5th to link up your water themed cards for a chance to win a Just for Fun store gift certificate.

Worst Day Fishing

Welcome to Just for Fun Rubber Stamps newest challenge. This month the design team is challenging you to create projects using a stencil. We would love for you to join us by linking up your creation to our website.

I've been wanting to use this boat stamp for a while now but I was having a mental road block on how to create a background other than the traditional water scene. I had the "ah-ha" moment while going through my stash of stencils.

I stenciled the ship's wheel with brown ink onto a white background. To create the boat with no background showing through I stamped it twice.  Once on the white panel for the finer details to show and once on scrap paper.  I colored and fussy cut the largest section of the spare boat and adhered it to the wheeled background.  A splattering of blue ink and a sentiment finishes off the card.

Collage Heart

Happy Thursday!  Thanks for joining us today at Just for Fun Rubber Stamps.

I've been doing a lot of coloring lately with my colored pencils.  I generally stamp a full sheet of random stamps and then just mindlessly sit in front of the TV and color. Very therapeutic.  This card features the Collage Heart stamp colored with the dual tipped Chameleon pencils

Thank you for visiting today.  We would love for you to join our May challenge.  Link up those art projects with at least 3 layers that celebrate the women in your life.

Be Original

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is hosting a fun monster challenge. I don't really have any snarky stamps for monsters but this quote does make me giggle with the vampire image. :)

I recently spent three days at a scrapbook crop and one of my goals was to use up these Halloween die cut pages and  reduce my stash of washi tape.  Mission complete!

Halloween Webbing

If you're looking for a great variety of Halloween stamps, you've got to check out the wide selection at Just for Fun Rubber Stamps. I received several soon to be released stamps and had a fun time coloring these adorable images.

A fun way to create some interesting backgrounds is with Webbing Spray. I love using this webbing with my Halloween cards. Spray a 12x12 paper outside and let dry for a few minutes for easy dimensional background panels.
Just for Fun stamps and sentiment. Club Scrap papers. Krylon webbing spray. Martha Stewart punch. Chameleon color pencils.

We would love to see your Halloween projects. By joining our challenge you're eligible to win a gift certificate to the Just for Fun store

Leaf Wreath

Autumn is my favorite time of the year! I love the cool evenings, leaves changing colors and pumpkin spice chai lattes :) When I received this soon to be released leaf stamp by Just for Fun Rubber Stamps I couldn't wait to make something fallish.

To create this stamped image I used my homemade version of Gina K Designs wreath builder template. I stamped the leaf multiple times and colored the images with my new favorite Chameleon colored pencils.

Gentle Breezes

Happy Thursday!
With the temperatures being over 100 degrees and the air quality terrible, I've found myself indoors stamping and coloring.  I've recently purchased Chameleon color pencils and am in love with the two blending colors in each pencil. They blend like butter and I have yet to break a tip.

I've been on an easel card kick lately.  I had quite a few 12x12 papers that needed to be trimmed to 8.5x11 for a project.  I took the left over piece and trimmed off 2 inches horizontally and scored the 3.5 x 10 piece at 5 and 8.

This card uses the Passport Stamp Background by Just For Fun Rubber Stamps and a soon to be released sentiment stamp.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic weekend!
