You Are So Loved

Don't you just love free stuff?! Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs offers a free digital template every month. Sometimes I just don't have the creative mojo to complete a layout from scratch.  In this case, I don't have the knowledge on how to make this layout from scratch :0

Fresh Pick

I love fall and had a blast going through all my fall-ish digital embellishments. I used a template for this layout so I could just drop in papers, textures, and photos.

My Sierra

I don't like to journal.  It's really not my thing.  If I do journal it's usually just the facts.  Boring!  So I don't know why I purchased these digital journaling cards. Club Scrap is hosting a What Was I Thinking? challenge this month and this was the first thing that came to mind!

Here's a layout of my kitty Sierra who loves to sit in the sun in my scrap room and wait for something shiny to fall.

Barrel of Blessings

Recently I purchased a template package from PrelestnayaP Designs over at Pickleberrypop, which happens to be my new favorite digital store. I don't have any templates that use a block method like this so I thought I'd give it a try. I absolutely love the results! It was fun to challenge myself with so many paper choices and embellishments. Plus...I was forced to journal just to fill space.

This layout is from an awesome weekend where Tricia and Karen were in town for the Scrapbook Expo. We enjoyed some awesome food and wine while actually getting some work done too. I even discovered some really cool places in my hometown!

Fall Pumpkins

Isn't it funny how you accumulate so many digital items that you forget what you have sometimes. While searching for the right embellishments for this fall layout I came across these beautiful fall leaves from the Reunion and the adorable fall flair embellishments. I digitally changed the colors of the background pages from Literature to match my photos and the layout just started taking shape. I love how versatile digital scrapbooking is!

Happy Fall Y'All

I'm hopping on a plane today heading for Oshkosh, Wisconsin!  I am so excited I can barely stand it.  I can't wait to see all the Club Scrap gals and my fellow scrappers. By this evening we'll be meeting up for a wine tasting event and catching up on everyone's lives.

Tomorrow Cindy, Cathy, Tracey and I will be jumping in the car and road tripping it to Lambeau Field for a tour, shopping and lunch. I love seeing all the fall foliage as we make our way north.

Here's a little fall teaser. We went to the pumpkin patch with my niece and watched her just have a ball with all the animals.  After about 10 minutes of her being there, not a chicken was around to be found! They scattered and the word was out to watch out for the little blonde!

A Great Disney Adventure

I'm having fun with templates while creating digital layouts for the Tool Challenge over at Club Scrap. The challenge is to use templates. The idea is to use tools in your stash, either digital or paper.  This template is from Scrapbook Challenges. I was super excited to use the little fairies from the Enchanted Forest digital kit. Tinkerbell is my favorite Disney character!

This Makes Me Happy

This makes me happy! If you've been following me, you know I love Disneyland. So when my dear partner in crime friend came to California on business, we escaped work and met for Disney and baseball. I knew she loved Disney...but I didn't realize as to the depth of her love.  She was like a little kid, especially when meeting Donald Duck. She couldn't even speak she was so excited! We had a blast running around like children.

A special side note on how Cindy and I met...through Club Scrap! We met at a Retreat in Wisconsin.  She lived in Chicago and I in California. She was struggling with the Raven's Claw journal and I was making fun of her. Then at dinner that night we talked about "pulling the plug" (end of life rights) and immediately became great friends! I'd pull the plug for you Cindy!  If you ever get the opportunity to attend a Retreat DO IT! I've meet some incredible people I am blessed to call my friends at Club Scrap Retreat.

Play Ball!

Play ball!
Here's a digital layout from an Anaheim Angels ball game. I was helping Cindy with her bucket list.  Attend a baseball game at every ball park in America.  My bucket list is to try the garlic fries at every ball park in America ;-)

Boardwalk

It's here!  Boardwalk has arrived and while I fondle the papers and extra goodies in the kit, I'm going to leave you with a quick digital page using a template from the Boardwalk Digital kit. I used the template but copied the design from the quick page.  I wanted to add my own title using a new technique I learned with the downloaded fonts. You can learn all about the Boardwalk collection and it's components at the Club Scrap Blog.

Cartagena, Spain

Happy Friday!
You've been seeing mostly digital this week as I wait for my Boardwalk kit to arrive.
Here's a digital layout using a mixture of Club Scrap digital items and template from the Cape Cod collection.

Cartagena, Spain is a fascinating place, rich with history!
It serves primarily as a naval seaport with it's history going back to 227BC.
We were overwhelmed with all the amazing ruins from the Roman times.

Something Wonderful is About to Happen

I sure hope I'm not boring you with layouts from our last trip but it was such an amazing trip for us!

After being on ship for 7 days at sea our first stop was Tenerife of the Canary Islands. It sure did feel good to be on land again. We loved all the fountains and colorful parks in Tenerife. We enjoyed a spontaneous drum concert along the Opera House waterfront. My mom and I were first introduced to Spanish Sangria which is WAY better than ours here.  I can make a mean Sangria too and I was impressed.  Our first Spanish phrase spoken..."Un vaso de la sangria por favor."

Nature

Cobb Mountain...a family cabin retreat.  I love coming up here!  No phone, no internet. It's so peaceful and relaxing.  I prefer the winter but most of the family prefer the summer.  It does stay fairly cool in the summer for California.  This last visit we stayed outside on the porch becuase it was warmer outside the cabin than inside.

We have sat out there for hours with the family and played games, cards and put together puzzles. Many a bottle of wine has been enjoyed out here on the porch.

Fiddle-dee-dee Designs Template Challenge

Well...looks like I forgot to post this the other day.  Oops.  My love for templates is well known. A free template gets me even more excited! I adore Fiddle-Dee-Dee's Designs. Once a month she shares a free template for download.

This template has many photo spaces which is something I like on paper but generally try to keep my digital layouts focusing on one or two photos. The nice thing about a template is you don't have to use everything provided. I however had many photos from a recent vacation to share. I also didn't use all the png files associated with this template.  The wonders of using a template.  Even though the canvas is provided for you, you can still create as you wish.

Supplies:  Fiddle-Dee-Dee Designs template, Club Scrap 50s Kitchen, Club Scrap Autumn Garden fiber.

Daddy's Girl

I just couldn't resist using this photo of my beloved niece who just smiles anytime her daddy would touch her.  Just the sweetest thing to watch! This digital layout was created for a Sketch Challenge at Pixels & Co. Sometimes I just don't have the brain power to create from scratch.  That's why I am so thankful that the monthly Club Scrap Digital Kit has 6 in every kit!
