Menopause

Today I'm a guest designer for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. I won their last "Ironmongery" challenge and am thrilled to start off the "M is for Menopause" challenge. While I didn't really have any snarky stamps about menopause I do have several fire related stamps.  A perfect sentiment to my hot flashes :0

A Relative Term

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is hosting a "F is for Family" Challenge.  Who doesn't love to make snarky comments about their family! 😍

The background was created by stamping the lined Impression Obsession stamp both vertically and horizontally to create a checkered pattern.

Club Scrap papers. Impression Obsession background stamp. Hampton Arts sentiment stamp. Elizabeth Craft Designs heart die. Queen & Co. pearls.

Have a fabulous day my crafty friends!

You're Sweet

Happy Thursday, my crafty friends!  We're in the first week of June and it's already approaching 100 degrees here in Cali.  What a perfect time to make a few summer cards.

Just for Fun stamp. Cuttlebug embossing folder. Lawn Fawn die cut title. Nuvo drops. Club Scrap papers.

I found a color burst art orphan in my stash that would make a perfect background for ice cream sandwiches.  Stamp the yummy ice cream on the background panel and fussy cut.  I cut off the sticks and used wood grained paper for a more realistic look.  Add Nuvo to image dots for dimension.  Die cut title, adhere to embossed card panel and cover with glitter Nuvo drops for sparkle.

Worst Day Fishing

Welcome to Just for Fun Rubber Stamps newest challenge. This month the design team is challenging you to create projects using a stencil. We would love for you to join us by linking up your creation to our website.

I've been wanting to use this boat stamp for a while now but I was having a mental road block on how to create a background other than the traditional water scene. I had the "ah-ha" moment while going through my stash of stencils.

I stenciled the ship's wheel with brown ink onto a white background. To create the boat with no background showing through I stamped it twice.  Once on the white panel for the finer details to show and once on scrap paper.  I colored and fussy cut the largest section of the spare boat and adhered it to the wheeled background.  A splattering of blue ink and a sentiment finishes off the card.

Just for Fun stamps. Club Scrap papers and stencil.
