Irony

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is hosting an Ironmongery challenge. What perfect timing!  I had just finished creating a handful of gelli plate prints using up the last of my acrylic paints.  I only had darker colors and metallic paints left.  It's been so long since I've created art with my gelli plates that I forgot how messy and therapeutic it is.

If you need a Gelli Plate refresher here's a blog post to revisit: For the Love of Gelli

Live Life

It seems like forever since I've created a digital layout.  Today I'm using the Damask digital collection with the newest free template from Fiddle-Dee-Dee designs. These photos are from our recent Pacific Northwest cruise.  We were able to visit with family on our stop in San Francisco.  The highlight of the trip was sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge.

I Heart You

Happy Monday! Paper Smooches Stamps is hosting a Flower Challenge for May. So today I'm featuring thePSS Hibiscus flower stamp  from the Get out of Town and Get out of Town Dies sets. Instead of coloring the image I decided to stamp on a Color Burst art panel and die cut. The background is created by simply spraying with Stipple Mists.

Collage Heart

Happy Thursday!  Thanks for joining us today at Just for Fun Rubber Stamps.

I've been doing a lot of coloring lately with my colored pencils.  I generally stamp a full sheet of random stamps and then just mindlessly sit in front of the TV and color. Very therapeutic.  This card features the Collage Heart stamp colored with the dual tipped Chameleon pencils

Just for Fun stamps. Club Scrap papers. Elizabeth Craft Designs stitched die. Chameleon pencils.

Thank you for visiting today.  We would love for you to join our May challenge.  Link up those art projects with at least 3 layers that celebrate the women in your life.

Got Lost

Hi my scrappy friends!  I so miss those gals over at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!  This card was created for their "W" is for WTF challenge.

Today I'm playing with a new stencil from the Damask collection by Club Scrap.  This stencil is gorgeous and allows for a continuous image when lined up. It works well with ink, Spackle and for embossing.

Girls Night

Welcome to Just for Fun Rubber Stamps newest challenge. This month the design team is challenging you to make projects that celebrate the women in your lives. We would love for you to join us!

I'm celebrating my girlfriends who have been there for me in the good times and not so good times. I created this card the day after our girls bunco group met so I thought the sentiment was spot-on. :)

Time to Relax

Can you believe it's May already!?  Time to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine before it gets too hot here in Cali.

Have you ever cut your rubber stamps to just use a portion?  To some crafters this is sacrilegious. To me...it's getting more bang for my buck.  I trimmed a "Hole in One" golf quote into three different stamps.  I now have a birthday stamp, a relax quote and a golf sentiment.

Just for Fun stamps. Club Scrap papers and Stipple Mists. Paper Smooches cloud dies.

To create the background, I sprayed a pool of Stipple Mists on my glass mat and added water.  I used this as my "ink pad" and created a watercolor pine tree image.

Note: Try different papers for different effects. The above photo is on glossy paper.

There's still time to join us for our April Lace Challenge

Just upload your photo to our website for a chance to win a gift certificate to the Just for Fun Rubber Stamp store.
