Too Much of a Good Thing

I have packages of 4x6 photo paper that I just can't seem to let go. My new photo printer takes different paper and I'm unsure what to do with this paper.  That is until I saw this awesome coffee filter print tutorial by Splitcoast Stampers. By using coffee filters, color bursts and photo paper you can create some amazing backgrounds.

To create this card I stamped several soon to be released flower images from Just for Fun Rubber Stamps in Staz-on ink on to the background panel and fussy cut. For the card front I stamped the same flower image several times and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Cheerio!

Welcome to the Club Scrap Ivy League Linky Party! Today members are sharing their projects they've created using the Ivy League collection. This collection is a combination of rich colors, classy images and amusing stamps.

I was inspired by Tricia's paper layout using the scroll work stencil to create this digital layout. Here's how to create the medallion digitally.

1. Create a new 12x12 document. Open the scroll image and add to document.

2. Duplicate the layer, rotate horizontally and position side by side.

3. Merge the two layers together. Duplicate that layer and flip vertically.

4. Position layers to create a medallion.

Four-Leaf Clover

Several days back I shared my Ireland layouts using the It's a Plaid Plaid World page collection. I had a few extra tags, cutaparts and ribbons left over and wanted to share a few cards I completed.

I always feel so accomplished when I use up all papers, ribbons and embellishments from a kit!

Wander

Happy Thursday! I really love sun burst images and decided to created my own sun image with simple craft foam. Using acrylic paint I created several images for background panels. I love how this lighthouse silhouette is perfect as a foreground image.  Add black Nuvo drops on the birds to add dimension. For extra sparkle add clear glitter Nuvo drops to the "WANDER" die cut letters.

Stencil Stamping

Don't you just love getting more bang for your buck?! Julie over at Club Scrap is challenging us to use our stencils for stamping. One of my favorite stencils is this beautiful chandelier. I love how simple you can embellish to get a very elegant card.

Using distress oxide inks, stencil image onto card panel. Ink edges with Ash ink. Die cut "Saluti" three times in black, stack and glue together with needle tip applicator. Adhere sequins and die cut. Add crystal Nuvo drops to "Saluti" for dimension and sparkle.
Club Scrap papers, stencil. Spellbinders die. Tonic Nuvo drops. Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Spritz water onto stencil to reactivate ink. Press stencil onto a separate panel. Set aside to dry. Stamp sentiment on tag. Add silver ribbon to tag. Adhere sequins. Using foam adhesive add tag.

Kitten Me?

Less is More is hosting a Pet's Challenge which is one of my favorite challenges!  To keep this card clean and simple I chose to just stencil in a few paw prints for the background.  I absolutely had to add googly eyes to these adorable cat images. They add so much personality. :)

Nailed It!

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is hosting a Junk Challenge.  I am such an organized clean freak that I live for the weekly garbage day. I look for things to throw away. I want that garbage can full! Luckily my husband has two safe zones in the house. His office and the garage. So...that's where I headed to find junk :) I used metal washers and a Formica sample.

Gentle Breezes

Happy Thursday!
With the temperatures being over 100 degrees and the air quality terrible, I've found myself indoors stamping and coloring.  I've recently purchased Chameleon color pencils and am in love with the two blending colors in each pencil. They blend like butter and I have yet to break a tip.

I've been on an easel card kick lately.  I had quite a few 12x12 papers that needed to be trimmed to 8.5x11 for a project.  I took the left over piece and trimmed off 2 inches horizontally and scored the 3.5 x 10 piece at 5 and 8.

This card uses the Passport Stamp Background by Just For Fun Rubber Stamps and a soon to be released sentiment stamp.

Just for Fun Design Team

Happy Wednesday!
I am so thrilled to announce that I am the newest member of the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps design team. Just For Fun is a small family operated business out of Florida. They provide stamps in wood mounted, cling cushion mounted or unmounted rubber.

Today Just for Fun Rubber Stamps is hosting a new challenge for August. We would love to see your stripes by linking up your project on the JFF Blog.

This adorable Celtic Heart was purchased knowing it would be well used scrapping my recent vacation to Ireland. The beauty of this design is that you can color it to match your photos or project.  I colored the twists with Copic markers and then added Crystal Nuvo to give dimension and shine.

I would love for you to return tomorrow for my very first solo Just for Fun blog posting!
Have a fabulous day.
