Santa Cruz Boardwalk

As I patiently wait for my Office Space collection to arrive, I am still enjoying my beach photos. Here's a digital layout created for Scrapbook Challenges using sketch #485.  I love the clean lines and blocking used to create this sketch. I was also experimenting with the downloaded fonts for the Boardwalk kit. Adding text to the tags wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.  As you can see...I'm not much into journaling.  I know...bad scrapbooker!

  1. I've gotten better about journaling. It depends on the picture, if it can stand alone I don't add much. If there's a story behind it, I make sure I have room to write. You don't realize what a difference the journaling makes, especially to kids who want to know ALL the details!

When I first received the Woven Strands kit from Club Scrap I immediately thought of our family reunion after seeing the stamps.  The tree and quotes were just screaming "family".  I gathered up my photos, chose the papers that complimented my photos and then found a layout in the Idea Deck that worked with my photos.  Here I chose the 5 of Clubs from Volume V. I left a few elements out and added a few of my own. I really liked the woven circles but they were 12x12, so I just cut them down to meet the 8.5x11 requirement for the directions.  I added one of my favorite quote stamps from Tahiti on the paper strips.
