Pismo Beach

Pismo Beach is one of my favorite beach destinations on the coast of California.  My husband found a lovely inn right on the beach. The scenery was breathtaking. They even had Adirondack chairs facing the ocean so I could enjoy my wine at sunset.

This layout was created for the June Layout Challenge and the Idea Deck Challenge using the Jack of Hearts Idea Deck II. I love how many photos can easily fit with this sketch. I wanted to add texture to the plain cardstock so I mixed Color Bursts with texture paste and applied it to the paper.

Join me tomorrow for the Club Scrap Boardwalk Blog Hop.

  1. Looks like an awesome trip. Cool layout, too!

  2. Beautiful lay out and indeed looks like a fantastic place to be.

Hot Chick

I've been honored by the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and named the newest Queen of Snark (which is shocking for some of you).  This title comes with the honor of being the guest designer for the new Farm challenge. I wanted to create a farm feel to the whole card right down to the embellishments.  I think chicken wire, feathers and twine should do it:) Club Scrap papers, ribbon and stamps. Impression Obsession background stamp. Darice embossing folder. Recollections feathers. Inside of card: A true friend is one who thinks you are a good egg even if you're half cracked.

I hope you join us over at the Sisterhood and share your farm creations.
