ATC Mini Holder

Club Scrap is hosting a new challenge this month: Make it Mini. We're challenging you to create projects or pages half the size from their original.

I recently joined an ATC swap in the Club Scrap Chat group on Facebook. An ATC is an Artist Training Card measuring 2.5" x 3.5".  I've accumulated dozens over my crafting years and love to use them on my scrapbook pages and cards.  Currently I have them in a binder but I want to be able to display them in my craft room.

I took the directions from the Club Scrap Adobe Mini Magazine holder and made it even smaller.
Score a 10 1/2" x 12" sheet of cardstock vertically at 3", 6 1/2" and 10".

Score horizontally at 3", 4 1/2", 7 1/2" and 9".

Trim vertically with the 1/2" score mark to the right at 7" and 3 1/2".

This will give you three equal pieces for the boxes.

Scored lines are in black.
Draw a line horizontally 2" up from the bottom on both left and right flaps.

Using a craft knife, trim as pictured below.

Fold up along the 1/2" scored line and fold in the edges to create a box.

Adhere 3" end flaps together.  Continue with the remaining boxes.

Line up the 3 boxes side by side and adhere the middle sides together to create one piece.

Wrap a 1 1/2" x 9 1/2" piece of book board with cardstock to create a solid base.

Adhere bottom flaps to base.

Decorate front as desired.

We would love to see your Make it Minis. Visit the Facebook Chat Group 08/20 Technique Challenge post to upload completed artwork in the comments section.

Happy Fourth

Freshly Made Sketches is hosting Challenge #439 which I thought would be perfect for the new Club Scrap Vintage Americana flag stamp.

I used Signme markers directly on the stamp itself and then stamped on paper. I just love how it turned out!

Mermaids Only

Color Throwdown is hosting Color Challenge #595 consisting of black, teal and white. To escape the heat this week I've been making cards with  my art orphans.  This background is made with black and white nail polish using a marbling technique. Each panel is a glorious surprise when you pull it from the water.

Together Forever

Color Throwdown is hosting color challenge #594 using the beautiful combination of yellow, gray and white.

I love stamping with Faber-Castell Gelatos.  They are so rich and creamy and give a beautiful watercolor effect when spritzed with water.

Go Fly a Kite

Tuesday Morning Sketches is hosting Challenge #554. Circles always appeal to my craftiness so I was super excited to play with this sketch. Wanting to show off the embossed frame, I kept the design fairly simple.

Let Your Dreams Soar

Freshly made sketches is hosting Challenge #435 with a fun angled sketch.  This sketch would be perfect using paper scraps and/or washi tape.  When I was crafting with the new Club Scrap Fly A Kite collection the ribbons happened to be laying on top of each other.  Total inspiration for this card.

Face the Sunshine

The new Club Scrap Hello, Sunshine hybrid collection was just what I needed to add some joy to these gloomy days. With the bright, bold yellows and oranges who could be sad?! I used the bonus sketch available to Club Scrap members only to create this digital layout about recent travel to Boston.

Sunshine in my Pocket

One of the challenges this month over at Club Scrap Chat was to create a card with a weather themed sentiment.  I love mixing and matching stamp sets. When I came across this sunshine in my pocket quote I knew it would go perfectly with the new Hello, Sunshine stamps.

Stamp the denim pocket, fussy cut and add jewels.

Quarantini

I'm still having fun sending out some much needed smiles to family and friends during these interesting times. I thought I'd make these little germs pastel colors and join the fun over at Paper Smooches who is hosting a Pastel Color Challenge.

Hello Spring

Hello Spring!

I'm using my self quarantine time to get caught up on some holiday and seasonal cards.  I was inspired by the newest Cupcake Inspiration #490 color challenge to create this Easter card. I promised myself that I'd use some of my neglected stamping tools.  Using the Gina K Wreath Builder I stamped these adorable eggs in multiple pastel colors.  The feather is such a lightweight fun embellishment, don't ya think?

Best in the West

I hope everyone is staying healthy during these very interesting times!

Here's a two page digital layout I created with the Western Hybrid Collection. The release of this digital collection had perfect timing with my nephew's horseback riding adventures.

Hoppy Easter

The latest Paper Smooches challenge is "Animals".  Since Easter is approaching I thought this would be a perfect time to mass produce some cards.  Nothing says Easter like a chocolate bunny :)

Stamp and fussy cut the bunny.  Die cut the honeycomb and use it as a stencil with blending brushes. Add Nuvo drops for dimension on the nose and tail.

The inside of the card reads: "All you need in life is a friend who has chocolate."

Kick Up Your Heels

After finishing up some projects, I had a few left over embellishments from the Club Scrap Western Page Collection and an empty card folio from the Western Card Collection.  What to do? Make more cards of course! I know I'm going to regret saying this...but I'm caught up on scrapping photos.

This fabulous card folio holds four 3.5x5 cards plus 4 envelopes.  It makes a great gift (when we can actually visit people again).

Card A

Randomly stamp the card base with the Western paisley image and ink the edges. Emboss the mat with wood pattern embossing folder and lightly rub ink over the raised surface. Randomly stamp a manila tag with the decorate medallion image and ink the edges. Stamp the sentiment. Fussy cut the boot and horseshoe from the Western page kit cut aparts. Tie ribbon on tag and add Dazzle metallic sticker to boot.

Card B

Emboss mat with star embossing folder and lightly rub ink over raised surface. Stamp badge and add sentiment. Fussy cut badge. Add Dazzle stickers to points.  Stamp manila tag in brown ink with ticking stamp.  Rotate stamp 90 degrees and stamp in blue ink. Adhere charms with bookbinding glue

Card C

Stamp card base with script stamp and ink edges. Stamp mat with grunge stamp. Stamp script image on scrap paper and then apply the second stamping to the manila tag for a lighter color.  Do the same with the stagecoach stamp. Stamp sentiment repeatedly for deeper color. Tie ribbon on tag. Fussy cut sentiment flag from the page kit cut aparts.

Card D

Stamp blue mat with wood plank image.  Apply ink using blending brushes to the manila tag with the paisley stencil and ink edges. Stamp sentiment and add ribbon and charms.

Card Folio.

This adorable card folio is one of two made with the Western Card Collection. Instructions are included with the collection.

Quarantini

I'm using my "shelter in place" time to craft. Taking my mind of the events of the world by singing to the radio and creating some fun cards.

The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is hosting a "Booze" Challenge.  I was inspired by my fellow West Coast crafter Maria O. to create a Quarantini card.

"It's a regular Martini
but you drink it alone
in your house."

Wine Time Raven's Foot Journal

Happy Sunday my fellow crafters!

I save wine labels from bottles that I've shared with friends and family.  I've kept them in a journal that we made at Club Scrap Retreat back in 2007.  I'm currently about to fill up a second journal that I received from a club member. So I decided to make one from scratch this time using the Wine Time collection. I must have blocked out the difficulty of making the binding because it all came back with a few swear words :)  You really need four hands for this project.

To make this album I used the Wine Time page collection from Club Scrap plus some extra papers from my stash.. I am just thrilled at how it finally turned out.
