Vintage Botany Blog Hop

Welcome to the Vintage Botany Blog Hop brought to you by Club Scrap.  Each month the talented Club Scrap owner, employees and members present a project, card or layout using the monthly featured collection. The  purpose of the blog hop is to demonstrate the beauty of paper and digital crafts.
If you just happened on the blog hop today because you're a regular reader of my blog, and you'd like to view the entire hop, you can  start back at Club Scrap. If you're already hopping and linked to me from the talented Wendy, you're in the right spot.

Today each member is pulling inspiration from the Vintage Botany collection. This kit features a beautiful, neutral color palette complemented by a gorgeous deep purple. The prints in this kit work perfectly for many events but I chose to use it for a recent outdoor wedding we attended.

Every month detailed trimming instructions and layout ideas are provided with each collection.  I tend to gain my inspiration for these Assembly Line Scrapbooking ideas. Sometimes I'll follow the layout exactly, but more times than not I'll add bits and pieces from several layout ideas, as I did here.

This layout was created using the main design of Layout 7&8 with a little twist of 5&6.
I changed the border strip to match my theme.  I added more wooden button stamps to bring both pages together and HAD to use these adorable pop-up butterfly tags.

To make the little white tabs stand out, color it with a gold metallic pen. Staple it to the cut apart journaling tag and place it in a glassine bag.
Thank you for hoping with us today! I hope you take advantage of the ALSB instructions and get your photos on layouts. Please continue on to see what Tina has created with this collection.

  1. I love the versatility of the ALSB method, you took that freedom and ran with it! How clever to use the glassine bag to hold the journaling...I am going to add that as an embellishment to one of my LO's. I really wanted to use them on my tiny pages and that is brilliant! Only, I notice one thing is missing...your signature feather! (Where is that laughing emoji when I need it?!) Thanks for inspiring me today! Hugs!
