Cue the Confetti!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Fusion is hosting a challenge that gives a sketch or an image with which to draw inspiration from.  I chose the sketch since all my Valentines have been sent. Shaker cards have never been my favorite but with Club Scrap's Confetti card collection I gave it another try and LOVE THEM now!

Cupcake Inspirations #486

Cupcake Inspirations is hosting a color challenge using a combination of green, brown and white. I created this background by inking my stamp in a pool of water and Color Bursts and then stamping on watercolor paper.

Hello, You

Freshly Made Sketches is hosting sketch challenge #421, a clean and fresh card challenge.  Recently I created a pile of backgrounds using a nail polish marbling technique I've shown before.  The goal was to recreate a faux turquoise look for Club Scrap's February Technique Challenge. I tried several different color combos and love the black nail polish on turquoise paper panels.  You'll be seeing more of these this month.

How adorable is that little tassel?!

Laugh

Mojo Monday is hosting its 529th sketch challenge.  This sketch allows you to use many different papers varying in size, texture and shine. The polka dot bags included in Club Scrap's newest Confetti Collection paired perfectly with the metallic Rinea Foil pinwheel giving this card a fun shiny element.

Skewed Confetti

Happy Friday!
The Clean Team over at Freshly Made Sketches is hosting sketch challenge 419.  The goal is to use skewed panels while keeping your project clean and fresh.

I used Club Scrap's newest Confetti Collection papers for this card. The collection includes Rinea Foil which was super fun to work with. The foil is actually two pieces of foil with paper sandwiched in between.  It makes folding, die cutting and embossing a snap.

Deep Breath

How soothing is a big hot cup of tea on a cold and rainy day?  I love crafting on these days too.  I usually open the window just a wee bit so I can hear the rain.

Paper Smooches stamps and dies. Club Scrap papers and ribbon.

Paper Smooches is hosting an Anything Goes challenge.  I've been making tons of coffee/tea/cocoa themed cards and just adore their coffee die. I acutally die cut the corregated paper from a coffee sleeve for a bit of realism :)

You Are Special

One of the goodies included in Club Scrap January's Confetti Collection is a gorgeous Rinea foil.  This unique foiled paper is constructed of two pieces of thin foil with paper sandwiched in the middle.  It embosses, tears and die cuts beautifully.  What I love the most is the way the inner paper shows through when you sand the foil lightly.

Using an embossed and sanded foil panel, I"m competing in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #416.
