Time to Relax

Can you believe it's May already!?  Time to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine before it gets too hot here in Cali.

Have you ever cut your rubber stamps to just use a portion?  To some crafters this is sacrilegious. To me...it's getting more bang for my buck.  I trimmed a "Hole in One" golf quote into three different stamps.  I now have a birthday stamp, a relax quote and a golf sentiment.

Just for Fun stamps. Club Scrap papers and Stipple Mists. Paper Smooches cloud dies.

To create the background, I sprayed a pool of Stipple Mists on my glass mat and added water.  I used this as my "ink pad" and created a watercolor pine tree image.

Note: Try different papers for different effects. The above photo is on glossy paper.

Celtic Love

Happy Thursday!  Thank you for stopping in today, my crafty friends!

I love using background stamps to add interest and visual texture to embellishments. Talk about getting more bang for your buck! I painted a wood "love" embellishment with white acrylic paint and then stamped the webbed and splattered background stamp in green to add interest.

Just for Fun stamps. Club Scrap papers and charm. Nuvo drops. Copic makers.

I added a fussy cut Celtic Heart image to replace the "o" and couldn't resist hanging a Celtic charm.

Don't forget to join our movement challenge.  We want to see your cards wiggle, jiggle, flip and flop.

Have a fabulous day!

Vino

Hello my crafty friends!  Happy Thursday!
It's Lisa here today to bring you a fun way to get more from your background stamps.

I originally created this background last August for our Stripes Challenge. I wanted to hand create stripes but then got sidetracked and designed a totally different card for the challenge.

These stripes were created by marking off stripes with masking tape and then swiping a distress oxide ink pad along the paper. Remove the tape when the ink is dry and add white stripes with a gel pen.

I'm still in love with my Wine Background stamp and use it many different ways.  For this card I stamped and colored the image then die cut it into a flag shape. Just add embellishments to finish off your theme.

Just for Fun background wine stamp. Club Scrap papers. Cuttlebug embossing folder. Creek Bank Flag die. Melissa Frances wine bottle die. Ranger Distress Oxide inks. Nuvo drops. American Craft twine.

Don't forget to join us this month for our movement challenge.

Handprint Hugs

Welcome to Just for Fun Rubber Stamps newest challenge. Marie is challenging us to make a card that slides, wiggles, rolls, flips or folds.  We would love for you to join us in the fun!

How awesome are wiper cards! If you pull the card outward on both sides a little sentiment flag pops up from the inside.

Just for Fun hand print stamp and sentiment. Club Scrap papers, ribbon, button and stipple mists. Cuttlebug embossing folder. Impression Obsession die. Tonic Nuvo drops.

1. Start with two 4.5x7.75" card panels scored and accordion folded at 5.75" and 6.25".  One 3x3 sentiment panel.

2. Fold 1/2" corner of the 3x3" panel at a 45 degree angle. Adhere the corner of the square 1/2" down from the top under the right flap.

3.  Adhere the 1.5" flaps of each panel to the front and back of the card making sure the sentiment wiper is sandwiched on the inside.

Pulling the sides outward pops up the "wiper" sentiment.
