Lagom

The sketch for the latest Fusion Card Challenge was made for these awesome felt flowers that were included in the Club Scrap Scandinavia collection. Having never seen or heard of "Lagom" I had to Google it. Lagom is Swedish for "just the right amount."

I finally got around to playing with my Stampin' Up "You're my Hero" collection. I was inspired by Karen's Acrylic Block Stamping to create some backgrounds for these stamps.

 

I scribbled red gelato ink on an acrylic block, spritzed it with water and then applied it to mixed media paper, letting the block sit on the paper to soak up the gelatos.

Halloween Blueprint Stamps

You know what Halloween means to me?  It's not about costumes and candy...it's about cooler weather on the way! No better reason than that to stamp with my Tim Holtz's Blueprint stamps. I can't get enough of these stamps. Pair them up with a washi tape...easy peasy creations.

Squeeze the Day Digi

It feels like FOREVER since I've been able to do some digi scrapping. Here's a digital layout using the Orchard collection. I love how the yellow background paper looks like it was created with distress oxide inks. The beauty of digital papers is you can change the colors to match your photos. I know this paper will get lots of use.

Wonder what I do with all the cards I make?  I put them groups of 8 with envelopes and give them as gifts.  I love making pretty card keepers for presentation.  Here are just a few different types including ATC and business card holders.

Gettysburg

I have a silly fascination with squished penny souvenirs. I'm like a little kid when I see these machines. I usually jump up and down clapping my hands holding out my hands to my husband. "Do you have any pennies?!" He just shakes his head and pretends not to know me. Luckily Cindy has the same fascination and didn't leave me stranded :)

 I thought today would be an appropriate day to post this Gettysburg layout. It was the last time we all got together and caused chaos in Pennsylvania.  The Fabulous Four are flying into Wisconsin today for our annual Club Scrap Retreat.

Apple of My Eye

This collage stamp from Orchard is one of my favorites. I used it multiple times with gelatos for the Club Scrap Artist Team watercolor challenge. This time I wanted to try it with my Pan Pastels. I really like how soft the colors are.

Stamp the collage image with watermark ink. Apply the different colors of Pan Pastels with sponges. Splatter black ink for interest. Stamp quote onto panel. Stamp apple, color with Copics and fussy cut. Emboss background panel with good grain embossing folder. Apply foam adhesive dots to back of apple, wind twine in circles and adhere to panel. Add small black dots of Nuvo Crystals to seeds for dimension.
